As one of Australia’s leading building product manufacturers, Lysaght is proud to again be principal sponsor of Australia by Design: Architecture (ABD), Channel Ten’s program celebrating some of this country’s best architecture and building design.
Following the success of the previous three seasons in the series, this year’s collection of impressive architectural projects again promises to impress. In 2020 the program will continue to uncover not only the outstanding projects that exemplify the excellence in Australian architectural design, but the incredible human stories behind some of the most innovative and creative architects and builders in Australia.
Each episode will see an expert panel of industry leaders judge which featured property is the most outstanding, with the ‘best of the best’ progressing to the sixth and final episode to take part in an exciting top 10 countdown to determine which is Australia’s ultimate architectural statement of the year.
Given the unprecedented times in which the series was filmed in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, this year saw a twist to the judging process with the introduction of virtual judging. However, the change did not waver the approach taken by Blake Tasker, Lysaght Marketing Manager, who was once again proud to be a part of the process.
“It was fantastic to return as a member of the ABD judging panel for series 4, with many incredible projects featured and some amazing human stories behind each. I feel fortunate to have been invited to return and look forward to seeing what new creative directions this year’s projects take,” said Blake.
An iconic presence in the Australian building and design sector for over 150 years, Lysaght’s product range includes roofing and walling, architectural cladding, structural products and more.
All 100 per cent Australian made, over the years these products have found use in some of the country’s most innovative architectural designs and are featured on a number of projects in this season of Australia by Design.
The first episode airs on Channel Ten and the WIN network on Sunday 5th July at 2:30pm, and will be available to stream on 10 Play anytime from then
